THIS N THAT
It's been a crazy couple of weeks since I last entered anything...for those of you checking in frequently, sorry for the delay.
Anyway, we finally moved into the digs across the street from the in-laws. Let the "Everybody Loves Rob" chapter of my life officially begin. We've got six bedrooms. Each boy has his own room and we even had one leftover for a playroom. Now we just have to get the garage cleaned out and we'll be able to park the van and the car in a garage for the first time since 2004.
Summer basketball officiating ended last night with the consolation and championship games of the Mt. Pleasant Senior High League. This was a pretty fun league to officiate especially if I had a rough weekend of varsity camp or AAU games the previous weekend. My next games will be in Whiteland sometime in September and October. For the upcoming 2007-08 season, I have about 85 games of junior high, freshmen and junior varsity games. My January officially became completely booked this morning. There are three games at the junior varsity level I am really looking forward to this season.
My father and I head to Louisville, Ky. Saturday to get Micah's bat made at the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory. For those of you that don't know we have the family tree set up with miniature Louisville Slugger bats with our names on them. Micah's is the last piece we need add. The next time we will be when one of the four gets married and we'll add their wife's bat to the wall.
Friday Night Football begins this week in Indiana. I will cover games this fall for the Franklin Daily Journal. It's been eight long years since I roamed the sidelines on a fall night in Indiana, I can't wait.
